Linked Exchange Verifying Partnerships
The following steps are to be completed by a sender.
Once a recipient initiates a partnership request, it is up to the sender to verify the partnership. When the recipient is finished, an email will be sent out containing the information needed to verify the partnership. The email contains key information for verification:
-
Web Service URI — Uniform Resource Identifier. This is like the address of a normal web page, but tells TrackAbout where to send data intended for the recipient.
-
Verification Code — A security code generated by the recipient
Once you have this email, you can log into TrackAbout and finish the partnership setup.
1. Go to Partner Management under the Linked Exchange section of the website.
2. Under "I Want To..." click on "Send Deliveries to a New Partner"
3. On the "Send Deliveries to a New Partner" page, enter a name for the partner.
4. Enter the verification information from the email you received and click "Verify"
Once the Web Service URI and Verification Code is verified, the partnership is active. On the resulting Manage Partner page, there are a few edit operations that can be performed:
-
Test connectivity with the recipient to verify that the two TrackAbout instances can communicate with each other.
-
Modify partner information, such as name and Web Service URI.
-
Set email addresses to be used in case of an error with sending linked exchange messages.
-
Link customers to this partner
