Filling
Fill Process
Filling is a term generally used when referring to certain internal production processes within a Company. There are several kinds of filling options:
-
Simple Fill — This allows a client to select the product code for the assets they are filling. As a result, the included assets will reflect the updated product code that their use state (although configurable) will be "Full".
-
Container Filling — This allows clients to conduct palletized filling so that the assets included in a pallet/container can be filled with one scan. For assets being scanned either individually or as part of a pallet, Container Filling also provides a wide selection of "Business Rules" to control process and workflow.
-
Rack Filling — This form of filling allows clients to track the tanks and manifolds being used as part of the filling process.
-
Bulk Filling — Bulk Delivery allows clients to track the quantity of product being delivered to assets installed at customer sites.
-
Filling Liquids
-
Fill at Customer — This feature allows clients to fill assets for a customer without removing it from their balance.
-
Fill with Work Orders — Allows clients to send Production Work Orders from their ERP/Accounting system to be managed and Fulfilled through TrackAbout.
For clients tracking "Use States" in TrackAbout, filling an asset will change its status to Full.
NOTE
That you can rename the Full status to a different name if you prefer something else, such as "Clean".
Simple Fill Screens
In the first screen this information is collected:
-
Item# (Product Code)
-
Expiration Date
-
Lot Number
These features are always available during basic fill:
-

Filling with Racks
Racks (typically, manifolds for filling groups of assets at the same time) can be configured in TrackAbout for use during Filling. Racks are configured to relate to:
Tanks - Determines which Raw Material (Source) tank is associated with each Rack. Users - Determines which users are allowed to use each rack. Product Families - Determines which products are allowed to be filled on each rack.
Also, each rack needs to be set up with a Maximum Filling Pressure. Fillers need an internal user account set up in TrackAbout before they can be associated with the Filling Racks.
Once you start adding on Filling locations, this list of Racks can get quite long. There is a text filter to help filter through the Rack list.
Palletized Filling
This mode of Filling is available for clients subscribed to TrackAbout's Palletization module. In this mode, cylinders are first sorted to pallets/containers. In this way, groups of cylinders move through production together. Fillers can scan the pallet / container barcode rather than each individual asset barcode during filling and therefore affect the Use State of every asset in the container.
Fill by Product and Quantity
TrackAbout provides limited capabilities to fill Not-Scanned Assets (non-barcoded/tagged) by product and quantity.
