Add New Pallet

Add New Pallet lets you register a new pallet with TrackAbout to begin tracking it.

NOTE

These instructions are for the base version of TrackAbout Mobile 7. Because TrackAbout Mobile 7 is highly customizable, the screens and prompts you see may differ from those shown here.

Using Add New Pallet on TrackAbout Mobile 7:

  1. Start Add New Pallet

  2. Enter a serial number

  3. Specify a manufacturer

  4. Select a product code

  5. Select ownership

  6. Confirm information

  7. Add a tracking code and register the pallet

 

 

Start Add New Pallet

Add New Pallet

Tap Add New Pallet to begin.

 

 

Enter Serial Number

Enter the pallet's Serial Number.

 

Serial Number — Tap to type in the pallet's serial number, or tapto scan a serial number barcode.

 

Tap NEXT to continue.

 

 

Specify Manufacturer

Select the pallet's manufacturer and date of manufacture.

 

Manufacturer — Tap to select a manufacturer from a list or tapto scan a manufacturer name.

Manufacture Date — Tap to select the date of manufacture, then tap SET to continue.

 

Tap NEXT to continue.

 

Give the Pallet a Product Code

Select a product code from the list.

— Search product codes.

— Scan a product code barcode.

Tap a Product Code to select it.

Tap NEXT to continue.

 

Select the Pallet's Ownership

Select the pallet's ownership from the list.

— Search ownership.

— Scan an ownership ID barcode.

Tap an ownership to select it.

Tap NEXT to continue.

 

Confirm Information

Confirm the correct serial number, manufacturer, and manufacture date have been entered by entering them again. If there's a mismatch, you'll be asked if you want to change the value.

 

Serial Number — Tap to type in the pallet's serial number, or tapto scan a barcoded serial number.

Manufacturer — Tap to select a manufacturer from a list or tapto scan a manufacturer name.

Manufacture Date — Tap to select the date of manufacture, then tap SET to continue.

 

Tap NEXT to continue.

 

Add Tracking Code

Assign a tracking code to the asset.

 

Barcode — Tap to scan in a unique, unused barcode/tracking code.

 

Once all required fields are filled in:

  • Tap SAVE to finish.

  • Tap Save and Add More to register the asset and automatically return to the start of Add New Pallet to register another asset.
