Lot/Batch Management
TrackAbout’s Lot/Batch Management features give you traceability of your lots, and the individual assets that are part of them. through your entire production and fulfillment life-cycle — and beyond.
For assets used in a lot, TrackAbout keeps current and historical data so you know each lot the asset was used in, and when. TrackAbout can even help you generate and assign lot numbers according to rules you define, either automatically or with input from fill staff.
How it Works
Lots are created at the point of fill.
For simple fills, depending on configuration, users enter either a full new lot number or complete a lot number partially created automatically by TrackAbout following a pattern you specify. For Rack Fills, TrackAbout automatically creates a new lot number based on a pattern you specify.
Production records can also include assets filled by third-parties or through some generic actions.
A production record is started when the fill is completed. Production records contain details about every part of the production life-cycle of a lot, including:
-
When the lot was created and by who
-
Who filled the assets
-
Which assets were filled, including their tracking code and serial number
-
Inspection scan results
-
Post-fill analysis results
-
How long fill took
-
QA and Supervisor sign-off of the lot
Lots are traceable up until the point all assets in them are re-filled. But even after they are cleared, a lot’s production record is kept in TrackAbout, providing easily-accessible historical information.
